Kenny Pickett gets knocked out of the game leaving it up to Tanner McKee as his first TD pass has to be retrieved by Big Dom. That’s that big fat creepy Italian guy who inserts himself into every situation but no one actually knows what he does. Baker Mayfield goes off for 5 TD’s against the Panthers and Mike Evans is on 1,000 yard watch. Talk bout watching greatness unfold right in front of us.
Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday games in Week 17 and it was a holiday week for the Championship. Joe Burrow had to win the game three times, the Packers lose AGAIN to the Vikings, and the Commanders win another thriller! KC continues to roll and the Ravens put an ass whooping on Houston for Christmas lunch! The NFL now owns Christmas Day and there’s not a damn thing that Kevin Durant can do about it!
We end the year with Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, Lamar Jackson, and George Kittle as your top FF skills positions. Jayden Daniels, Bucky Irving, Brian Thomas Jr, and Brock Bowers are your top rookies on the year.
MATCHUP OF THE WEEK
Swag Dahdi 🚒 brings home GOLD! The 2024 Dubtown Fantasy Football league champion is Tyler Bowman! Lamar Jackson and Tee Higgins team up for a big Championship performance and they tag in Bucky Irving to cap things off. It was over before the Monday night matchup but George Kittle goes over 100 yards and pushes Dahdi to over double Paper Chaser. Jordan Addison was the steal of the waivers for this team and David Montgomery was the steal of the draft this year going in the sixth round. Ladd McConkey was one of the few misses this year for Bowman and you know it pains him to have a 49er as the crux of the FF team. For now it is all sunshine and Modelos for the Champ - we send our congratulations and sit down for an exclusive Dubtown FF interview below.
Ja’Marr Chase and Kyren Williams were the only bright spots for Paper Chaser in the Championship round. Kyler Murray and Cooper Kupp didn’t do enough this week to show any life unfortunately. Negative points from the Indy defense and a goose egg 0 from last years best kicker in the league. It was a good run for this team and nothing to be ashamed of. Cooper Kupp looks like the draft bust on the year and Zach Charbonnet was the draft steal being taken in the last round of the draft. GG’s to Kyle and your moment will come soon enough.

Q: How many years have you been in the Dubtown League?
A: I wanna say since I started high school, so I will say 19 years.
Q: What is your favorite part about the league or being apart of the league?
A: The draft is honestly great to see everyone. It’s also the most important day of the fantasy football season. You can’t win the league on draft day, but you sure as shit can lose it on draft day. Look at Ol’ Red’s draft. I also love the constant banter in the group chat.
Q: Speaking of Ol’ Red, he seems like he fires you up. What is it that gets you going and how do you feel having him back in the league?
A: I love Wyatt to my core and I believe that the feeling is mutual. We’ve always had a relationship that was filled with shit talking to one another. So when a random person would see an encounter with us they may think we aren’t good friends, but the opposite is true.
Q: You’ve won your first Championship, what will you do now?
A: I will say it’s overdue. I’ve made some trades in the past that ruined me. And I’ve scaled back. Be more mature. Since I’ve been a father I make better decisions I think. So I don’t know what the fuck Tony was bitching and complaining about being married and being a father correlating with him sucking. I am definitely gonna take my son to the beach more and got a crab snare. So eat more crab. Also still considering the morgue investment.
Q: Who would you have liked to see in the Championship?
A: I will go on record saying I wanted Greg. I wanted a rematch from last year to avenge my loss in the championship when I felt like I had the best team. I also wanted Greg because Kyle had the best chance of beating me. He had guys that could put me in a casket, he just had an off week.
Q: What was your secret this year? How did you maintain the best record and win it all?
A: Like I said draft day is huge! I got Lamar in the 4th - #1 QB. Kittle will probably be #2 TE and I got him in the 6th. And honestly some gut decisions. Looking at matchups and playing the hot hand. Stashing guys and holding them for a long time like Keenan Allen and Bucky Irving panned out big when guys like Tyreek and Montgomery either didn’t pan out or got injured.
Q: That’s interesting, I though you couldn’t win it on draft day. So, who are you gunning for next year, who’s going in the casket?
A: Tony is in the casket currently but I don’t think he will live there. Maybe a P.O. Box but not serious. I feel if Wyatt doesn’t get outside help he will buy real estate in graveyards. I always love beating Dan - he kind of lays low and is always good. I guess he is number one on my hit list.
Q: What can we count on for your winner/loser caddy golf round?
A: There will be amazing photos! A great outfit. I have it picked out I just haven’t purchased it yet. Tony and I will have fun. He’s gonna have to live with some embarrassing photos, but after that we will get smashed and he will watch me golf a round 88-92 hopefully on a warm spring day.
Q: 92 - is that the best you got?
A: I’ve hit an 84 at Windsor and an 86 at Oakmont. I’m tempering expectations. I will pull a Tony and say since I’ve had a wife and kids, my golf game has gotten worse since I don’t play nearly as much. I’ve got as good round in me, just not counting on it.
