Week 10

EARLY WEEK POINTS!

Ja’Marr Chase goes NUCLEAR on TNF in a loss to the Ravens and Joey Burrow throws for another 4 TD’s! Chase and Burrow absolutely own the Ravens defense, but it’s Lamar Jackson who gets the last laugh and the victory with another 4 TD’s. Nico Suave, Paper Chaser, and Swag Dahdi 🚒 each get a FF win due to these fantasy studs in Week 10 and it was over before we even hit the weekend. TNF was an instant classic and one of the best early week matchups of the year - I was reminded of the Week 5 matchup of the Falcons and the Bucs where Kirk Cousins threw for 509 yards.

Jalen Hurts is unstoppable, Bijan Robinson won’t stop scoring, the Chiefs block the game winning FG, and the 49ers kick the game winning field goal! Keep your head on a swivel around Deebo Samuel if you are a kicker or a long snapper though. George Kittle scores in the redzone once again for Swag Dahdi 🚒 and Brock Purdy throws for 2 and 350+ to win LaPorta Potty a much needed FF game to keep the playoff hopes alive. George Kittle has 7 touchdowns this season, already the second most in a season in his career. Nick Bosa needs to learn from Deebo and start throwing those hands at Baker Mayfield or at least take a hip drop tackle on his ass. I guess now he is all “Your body, your choice.”

The Bills handle business on the road even with a couple of INTs from Josh Allen and the Saints get a divisional win over the Falcons without Dennis Allen. Kyle Murray played about as well as he has ever played before going 22 for 24 and completing 17 straight pass attempts. Marquez Valdez-Scantling leads the WR waiver wire with 2 scores, Alec Pierce is boom or bust, and John Metchie III finally showed up to the NFL. The FF denfenses/ST really showed up this week too with the Eagles, Bills, Patriots, and Vikings all scoring over 15 FF points.

It was a rough week for kickers this week and some Dubtown teams chose to just skip out on the kicker position in Week 10 completely! Once again and last time - points for matter in the tie breaker and they are currently the difference between the 6 and 7 seed. Tyrone Tracy fumbled the Munich game away even in an impressive showing. Keep your head up rookie, you will have more opportunities. A lot of no shows from usually above average FF stars this week which led to lower matchup scores and a handful of blowouts in the Dubtown League. The Vikings were throwing INTs, the Lions threw all the INTs, and I am not too sure that the Chiefs are even good - but we can save that for the Overreaction of the Week. The Chiefs have the 5th worst DVOA among all teams who have gone 9-0 in NFL history. None were worse than the 2013 Chiefs. So I guess Andy Reid just knows how to win with losers?

Speaking of losers, Aaron Rodgers only completed two passes that traveled more than 7 yards downfield. Ahhhh it makes me feel happy.

Something that I found on Reddit that I found interesting and never posted before is the list of players tackled at the one-yard line and did NOT score a touchdown on the same drive. This is interesting in the the FF world with vulture implications. Here’s the list for Week 10:

  • Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier (3x, same drive)

  • Eagles RB Saquon Barkley

  • Saints RB Alvin Kamara

  • Cardinals RB James Conner

  • Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins

  • Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (lost fumble)

  • Jaguars RB Travis Etienne

  • Commanders WR Terry McLaurin

  • Falcons WE Darnell Mooney

  • Jaguars WR Gabe Davis

  • Panthers TE Ja’Tavion Sanders

  • Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

MATCHUP OF THE WEEK

Once again, show me a high scoring and close matchup and the genie grants you a MOTW. Instead we get a 74 point victory! The Paper Chaser doubles up on the Benjis and we all knew it was over from the TNF game. We don’t need to dive into this one too much do we? Let’s talk about paper Chaser ROS. Sitting at 6-4 with Wine Mixon in Week 11 and Kyle Murray on BYE. The Breece Hall and Aaron Jones trade looks decent but the Jets are really bad and barely hand the ball off to Breece. Aaron Jones may be dealing with multiple injuries but it seems like that is always his mode of operation. Week 12 is going to bring Cream Slingers and a BYE week from hell with key players out. Finish it off with Swag Dahdi in Week 14 and it might be a fight to get into the playoffs. Still this is one of the highest scoring teams in the league and with $32 FAAB remaining, Paper Chaser can still get a QB in Week 11 and has bench slots full of position players for the following week. My prediction: 2-2 to finish the FF regular season.

67.2 FF points for Coach Benji this week! Ouch. A lot of boom or bust guys on this team, but that is just kind of the premise of fantasy football isn’t it? Zay Flowers, Malik Nabers, and J.K. Dobbins can either win you a big one or contribute to a 70 point loss. You just have to hope to play the matchups and find the hot hand during the FF playoffs. Coach Benji ROS with by far the easiest schedule in the league. May as well hand him the 10-4 record right now and we’ll see if he can play the right players come crunch time.

🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨

Nico Suave Receives:

  • RB Rhamondre Stevenson

  • WR Drake London

Paper Chaser Receives:

  • RB Breece Hall

  • RB Aaron Jones

INTERVIEW WITH THE COMMISH

Dubtown FF exclusive interview with the commissioner, Tony Tunzi, live from the local Hooters.

Q: If you could have the second draft pick over again who would you choose?

A: Ja’Marr Chase, it’s an obvious choice.

Q: As a former champion, what has happened in the last five years that you haven’t made it back to the championship?

A: I’ve been married for five years now, so it could be marriage. Fortney hasn’t won since marriage either.

Q: What are your predictions for the rest of the year for you and for the league?

A: I won’t be getting last place and I plan on spoiling some teams’ playoff chances. For the rest of the league - I see Kyle vs. Bowman in the championship.

Q: What about Kirby? Not going to include champ-champ?

A: Kirby will lose in the semi finals because Cee Dee Lamb has no QB and his title run is finished!

Q: If you do have to caddie, who would you want it to be for?

A: I want to caddie for Bowman because he will treat me with respect and we will have a good time.

Q: Who do you think is the worst team, regardless of record?

A: Wyatt and Fortney have the worst teams in the league and Fortney likes kissing men.

Q: What do you think about the two new teams in the league? Will they be invited back next year?

A: Wyatt might not make it back because he will get last and have to caddie without bitching out! Reyes has a chance at the championship.

Q: How do you feel about the group chat and everything that Chris Lowe has to say? What will it take to get him permanently banned from the group chat?

A: Chris Lowe is the biggest piece of shit in the league. He talks the most and he’s never won the league. Wyatt is on his level and he’s only been back in the league for a year.

Thank you, sir. Carry on!

GETS MY DICK HARD OF THE WEEK

GETS MY DICK HARD OF THE WEEK 〰️

Ricky Pearsall catching his first NFL TD only 71 days after being shot! Gets my dick hard!

OVERREACTION OF THE WEEK

I thought primetime SNF and MNF was supposed to be exciting and the best games of the week… What the fuck was that? All year, I’ve watched the majority of the primetime games and I don’t think I watched more than half of those games this week. I mean, seriously, I turn the TV volume up and do a little dance to the Carrie Underwood theme song in her sparkly dress. But that was underwhelming and I’m worried about Houston - they need Nico back. I am worried about the Falcons now too. Atlanta is a good team and they need to stop running anyone but Bijan Robinson on the goal line. That was so ridiculous to get stuffed 3 times and then on 4th down put your star player in to score incredibly easily. That’s the difference between the 1 or 2 seed and the wildcard teams - coaching and decision making. I get it, you can’t pound your best players into the ground, but look how easy it can be when you pound your best players into the ground. I guess that’s why I am not a coach.

We are at the point of the season where some NFL teams are going to play for next season. Some NFL players are going to make business decisions in contract years. Should be pretty easy for all you survivor pool players. I truly think it can be beneficial to take shots in the dark at some of these waiver wire players in FF though. Play some of these matchups. The NFC West is going to be a race to the finish and anyone can score points on all of those teams. The Steelers and Commanders are still hungry. You know the Chargers are going to fight until the end with Harbaugh never giving up a down. Find those FF guys and plug them in.

The EAST IS BACK BABY. All that streak talk is over from the West (minus Cream Slingers). It’s the start of new streaks now and I love it. These next four games are the streaks that matter. Lose 3 out of 4 and you’re out, win 3 out of 4 and you’re in, IT’S ELECTRIC! Cream Slingers looking like the clear new favorite to win it in my book. Don’t tell the Commish that the new guy has 6 wins in a row and Pacheco is designated to return. The only thing I will say is that the points against the Cream Slingers is the lowest in the league. Bring him on, that’s my Week 11 matchup and I am ready to bust the bracket. Tummyache Turtles looks to start the spoiling next week against Swag Dahdi 🚒 and it is looking very possible with CMC back. It’s the East vs the West again in every matchup just like last week. Fuck the West!
